Clean Fleets Excellence Program

The Clean Fleets Excellence Program is a partnership between CBEE, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), and the American Lung Association.  The objectives of this program are to increase awareness of the diesel pollution problem and solutions, to assist fleet managers by evaluating their operations and vehicle performance, and to create and implement a brand recognition that causes fleet managers to clamor to participate in the program, and ultimately to bring about reduced emissions from diesel-powered fleet vehicles.  The Clean Fleets Excellence Program is part of DEQ’s Clean Diesel Initiative, whose objective is to reduce excess cancer risk in Oregon from diesel exposure to 1 in a million by the year 2017.
